Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a single-channel and a multichannel pipette?

A single-channel pipette handles one sample at a time. A multichannel pipette (8 or 12 channels) fills a whole row of a 96-well plate at once, which saves time in ELISA and PCR work.

Which dispenser should I use for acids and solvents?

Use a bottle-top dispenser whose wetted parts suit the chemical, for example a model rated for hydrofluoric acid or organic solvents. Send us your chemical list and we’ll recommend one.

Can you supply pipette tips that fit my existing pipettes?

Yes. Tell us the brand and model of your pipette and we’ll quote compatible tips, including filter and low-retention tips.

Do you arrange pipette calibration?

Yes. Ask us about calibration when you request your quote.
