Water Purifiers
Laboratory water purifiers and water stills turn tap water into pure or ultrapure water for analysis, media preparation, rinsing and instruments. CSI Labshop supplies water purification systems and distillers to chemistry, microbiology, food and university laboratories across Malaysia.
Tell us the water quality you need, how much you use per day and your feed water, and we will recommend a system and send a quotation.
Grades of laboratory water
- Type 1 (ultrapure) water, typically 18.2 MΩ·cm, is needed for HPLC, ICP-MS, trace analysis, molecular biology and cell culture.
- Type 2 (pure) water suits general lab work: buffers, reagents, media preparation and feeding instruments such as analysers and autoclaves.
- Type 3 (RO) water is used for rinsing glassware and as feed water for Type 1 systems.
Our water purification range
- Laboratory systems for RO, pure and ultrapure water: most Hitech models give RO water, deionised water and 18.2 MΩ·cm ultrapure water from one unit. See the Master, Master Touch, Smart, Eco, Medium, Basic-Q and Dura series.
- EDI systems use electro-deionisation instead of ion-exchange cartridges for lower running costs at higher volumes. See the Hitech EDI and Super series.
- Central and high-volume systems that supply several labs: the Hitech Central, Center, Industry and PWS series.
- Water stills (distillers) produce distilled water without consumable cartridges. See the FAVORIT W4L (4 litres per hour) and the cabinet models WCS4L and WCS8L.
How to choose a water system
- Quality: start from the most demanding use; a system that makes Type 1 water often also supplies Type 2.
- Volume: estimate litres per day and the peak you draw at once; add a storage tank if needed.
- Feed water: tap-water quality affects pre-treatment and how often cartridges are replaced.
- Running costs: purifiers need cartridges and filters; stills need electricity, cooling water and descaling.
Brands we supply

Frequently asked questions
Water still or water purifier?
A water still boils and condenses water, giving distilled water with low running costs. A purifier uses filters, reverse osmosis, ion exchange and UV to reach higher purity, including Type 1 ultrapure water.
Which water do I need for HPLC?
HPLC, ICP-MS and other trace methods need Type 1 ultrapure water, typically 18.2 MΩ·cm with low TOC.
How much does a lab water purifier cost in Malaysia?
The price depends on water grade, output and pre-treatment. Send us your daily volume and application for a quotation.
Not sure which model fits?
Tell us your application, sample type and budget. We’ll suggest suitable models from the brands we supply and send one quotation.
