Overview
Karl Fischer titration is the standard method for measuring water content, from trace moisture in solvents to high water levels in food and cosmetics. The KEM MKV-710 series from Kyoto Electronics uses volumetric Karl Fischer titration and covers a water range of 0.1 to 500 mg H2O, equivalent to about 1 ppm to 100% depending on sample size.
Several models are available so you can match the instrument to your laboratory. The MKV-710B is the cost-effective model with a manual solvent change unit. The MKV-710M and MKV-710S have a large 8.4-inch colour touch screen, and the MKV-710M can change solvent automatically and resume an interrupted titration. The MKV-710D is built for GMP laboratories, with password control and support for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity without a PC.
