Freeze Dryers

Freeze drying (lyophilisation) removes water from samples at low temperature and under vacuum, so heat-sensitive materials keep their structure and activity. CSI Labshop supplies laboratory freeze dryers for pharmaceutical, food, microbiology and research laboratories in Malaysia.

We supply benchtop units for flasks and small batches, as well as larger systems with shelves for vials and trays. Vacuum pumps, manifolds, flasks and accessories are also available.

Frequently asked questions

What condenser temperature do I need?

For most water-based samples, −55 °C is enough. Samples containing solvents such as acetonitrile, or with low melting points, may need −80 °C or lower.

Manifold or shelf freeze dryer?

A manifold suits round-bottom flasks and ampoules. Shelves suit vials, trays and larger batches. Many units can be fitted with both.

Is a vacuum pump included?

It depends on the model. We’ll quote the correct pump with your freeze dryer.
