Overview
ALPHA 1-2 LDplus is a small benchtop freeze dryer for routine laboratory work. The ice condenser reaches −55 °C with a total ice capacity of 2.5 kg, which suits aqueous samples in flasks, vials or bulk trays within that load.
Control is through LDplus (Lyo Display plus): a graphic LC display shows the key process data — ice condenser temperature, process time, section time and vacuum — and menu guidance is available in German, English or French. The unit can convert product temperature and vacuum readings according to the vapour pressure curve above ice, and an electromagnetic pressure control valve is available as an accessory for vacuum control and shorter process times. An RS-232 port allows connection to a PC.
