VELP DK Series Kjeldahl Digestion Units
Overview
The VELP DK Series is a traditional Kjeldahl digester built around an aluminium heating block that gives excellent thermal homogeneity across all positions, with a maximum working temperature of 450 °C. Block temperature is controlled by dedicated microprocessor electronics, which is what makes test precision and repeatability consistent from run to run.
Six configurations cover different throughputs: DK 6 and DK 8 take 6 or 8 × 250 mL tubes of 42 mm diameter, DK 6/48 takes 6 × 250 mL tubes of 48 mm diameter for larger sample weights, DK 20 takes 20 × 250 mL tubes, and DK 20/26 and DK 42/26 take 100 mL tubes of 26 mm for high-throughput work. A wide library of stored methods is provided, and temperature and time can be set for each programme.
