Frequently asked questions

Orbital or reciprocating shaker?

Orbital shakers suit most flask and cell-culture work. Reciprocating (back-and-forth) shakers suit extractions and separating funnels.

Do I need an incubator shaker?

Yes, if your cultures need a controlled temperature while shaking, for example bacterial or yeast cultures at 37 °C.
