Interscience BagMixer 400 Laboratory Blender
Overview
BagMixer 400 is a laboratory blender that homogenises a sample inside a sterile plastic bag, so the sample never touches the machine and cross-contamination between samples is avoided. Blending in the bag also means no cleaning between samples and no washing of blender jars, which is why the method is standard in food and environmental microbiology.
The Classic Pack bundles the equipment needed to start work straight away: one BagMixer 400, 500 BagFilter filter bags for pipetting without debris, 500 BagPage filter bags, 1,000 BagLight bags and the accessories required to run the unit.
Sample preparation for enumeration, pathogen detection and shelf-life testing all start with this step, and the choice of bag determines whether the filtrate can be pipetted directly.
