Overview
FlexiPump is a peristaltic pump dispenser built for culture media preparation. Two models are offered, FlexiPump and FlexiPump Pro, with three dispensing modes — simple dispensing, multi-dispensing and a mode for distributing a batch of plates — and 32 storable protocols each. Dispensing volumes run from 50 µL to 99 L.
A peristaltic pump moves liquid through tubing rather than through the pump body, so the media path is disposable and cleaning between batches is quick. That is the reason these units are used for agar and broth preparation, where a batch must be dispensed into hundreds of plates or tubes at a repeatable volume, and for any laboratory liquid that should not contaminate the pump.
